Chunkie Chili

This is one of my favorite soups to make. It doesn't matter if it is summer or winter, I love me some chili. I like chunkie chili, I like lots of meat in my chili. I have watched many people over the years make this, and this is my own recipe. In the winter, I will eat this by the bowl, but in the summer time, I like to make my infamous Chili Doritos Grande.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs of hamburger meat
4 Tbsp chili powder
3 15 oz cans of kidney beans (2 dark and 1 light)
1 28 oz can of diced tomatoes
2 14.5 oz cans of stewed tomatoes
2 Tbsp sugar

  • Open all your cans
  • You need a 5 - 6 court pot (Dutch oven)
  • Drain the beans of their juice
  • Put your beans, diced tomatoes(juice and all), 3 Tbsp of chili powder, and 2 Tbsp of sugar into the pot and stir, and turn burner on to medium
  • Take stewed tomatoes, juice and all, put into the blender and puree and pour into pot, stir
  • Fry hamburger meat with 1 Tbsp of chili powder, drain grease, add to pot and stir
  • Cook for 1 hour on low/simmer
I cook for an hour for better flavor, but it can be served immediately.
